Miss Mallard calls are hand turned and hand tuned. What does that mean?

Well, each call receives individual attention as it is turned on a lathe without the aid of a duplicating attachment. The insert gets the same personal attention as each toneboard is shaped entirely by hand with only sandpaper and files. This is a painstaking process, but the result is worth it. No call is finished until I believe it is the best call I can make.

This means each call may be similar in design and shape, but no two calls look or sound exactly alike.

All calls are brass banded, signed and numbered, Arkansas style, and tuned with either a single or double mylar reed.
