Cocobola, imported from Central America is widely considered to be one of the most beautiful exotic woods.
Colors range from purple red to yellow with irregular black streaks. With
exposure, colors will darken to a deep orange red.
Coco is very dense, imparting excellent sound qualities. In fact, it is often
chosen for use in musical instruments. Cocobola calls tend to project well,
with loud hail calls that will penetrate high winds and long distances.
Since the natural oils in this wood protect it from moisture, you can be sure that
your call will not lose its tune due to swelling. Cocobola is finished with a hand rubbed
wax polish, or sprayed with a high gloss polyurethane.
